A long term business relationship is about to continue, since IGT announced that it has extended its licensing partnership with Caesars Entertainment. IGT is one of the most popular software providers globally. The gaming manufacturer has signed this week a multi-year extension to its current deal with Las Vegas-based casino operator Caesars. This means that the popular land based casino will continue to be powered by IGT regarding their slot machines and their software.

The terms of the agreement

According to the terms of the new agreement between the two sides, IGT will retain the rights to represent the Caesars, Harrah’s, Paris Las Vegas, Rio, Flamingo, and Horseshoe brands in the lottery industry across the US, Canada, and Europe. We should note that IGT has been representing many of the Caesars brands in the lottery industry since 2008. And with a great success we should say, something that is being reflected on the players’ reactions. The latter seem to enjoy playing on the IGT games, so it was inevitable that the deal would be extended.

The reactions

Of course, after the conclusion of the deal, both sides were happy enough to make statements. Michael Chambrello, who serves as the Chief Executive of IGT, commented on the agreement.  “IGT is happy to extend our partnership with Caesars Entertainment and continue offering lotteries and their players relevant licensed content and unforgettable experiences. The Caesars Entertainment brands represent the ultimate in luxury and gaming and meaningfully resonate with our customers and their players.”

On the other hand, Caesars’ Senior Vice-President of partnerships and channel marketing, Annette Weishaar, added. “We look forward to continuing our partnership with IGT. Together, we have already achieved great results in the lottery industry. Of course, we are confident that IGT’s expertise and experience will continue to drive success for both sides.”
